This is my new blog to cover the ins and outs of my work with International NGOs (what you may call charities) with their Financial Management and Training. The blog is a follow up to my blog about working in Haiti (www.audacityofsoap.blogspot.com) and will cover my new career in this field.
On Saturday I will fly to Afghanistan to help a Scandinavian NGO looks at its costs and overheads and structures. It looks like a sensible and timely review to undertake so that they can either be assured that their money is being well spent. or will have pointers to improve the impact they can make. It is a short assignment of 2 to 3 weeks which will be spent mostly in Kabul, with visit to field offices if the security situation allows. It looks interesting and I hope this will come across in the blog.
